Haaq and the buttons
It has come to my attention that the political movement Haaq has distributed the Just Bahraini buttons during the Ashoora commemoration. It also appears that the buttons were distributed at the same time as they were campaigning for a political petition.
While I do not want to politicise the Just Bahraini campaign, I recognise that others can, did and will politicise it with or without my consent to their own ends. I have no control over this and each is responsible for their own actions.
For the record, I have distributed 7,000 buttons during this year’s Ashoora and I do not know nor could I control how and where they are distributed.
All I hope to have achieved is for people to recognise the danger in sectarianism and think of ways to combat it in themselves first and then in others around them.
TARGET REACHED!

Thanks to an anonymous donor, we received BD2,323 to make up the shortfall of our target of BD8,500 fund-raising efforts for the first phase of the Just Bahraini campaign!
Thank you very much!
I’ve got a lot of ideas that we can use creatively in order to propagate the message of unity in Bahrain and try to fight the sectarian monster. I don’t think that any amount of money alone is going to solve these problems, but the last donation most certainly will help in allowing us to go up to the next level.
If you have ideas on programs that we could enact, or if you can lend some of your time and talents to this campaign, please let me know.
